The role involves scheduling, cost management, forecasting, and reporting using industry-leading tools and advanced analytics platforms. The engineer will collaborate with engineering, construction, and finance teams to provide data-driven insights that support successful project execution and continuous improvement across OPG’s clean energy portfolio.Key AccountabilitiesLead development and ongoing management of project schedules and budgets, leveraging Primavera P6, MS Project, and Excel to drive accurate reporting.Support front‑end planning activities, including scope definition, risk assessments, estimating, and facilitation of project planning workshops.Monitor and analyze project performance, delivering regular cost and schedule updates, variance analysis, and forward‑looking forecasts.Drive effective change‑management practices by maintaining baselines, assessing impacts, and ensuring plans reflect approved changes.Deliver high‑quality insights and reporting by building dashboards, data visualizations, and reports using Excel and business‑intelligence tools.Partner cross‑functionally with engineering, construction, finance, and external contractors to gather inputs, track progress, and align on forecasts.Contribute to overall project success by supporting data‑driven decision‑making and continuous improvement initiatives.Qualifications4‑year bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.PMP designation is preferred.6–8 years of experience supporting project management or project controls functions within large, complex projects, preferably in nuclear, hydroelectric, or thermal generation environments.Advanced skills with Primavera P6 for project planning and scheduling.Expert‑level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with demonstrated experience producing accurate project data, advanced reports, dashboards, and data visualizations, and leveraging business‑intelligence tools to support analysis and decision‑making.Strong knowledge of project controls principles, including planning, scheduling, estimating, budgeting, and risk management.Experience with engineering and construction management practices and methodologies.Proficiency with project controls, financial, and work‑management systems, including computerized databases and reporting tools.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments and with diverse stakeholders.Experience supporting hydroelectric or large‑scale infrastructure projects, with an understanding of refurbishment, modernization, and lifecycle management of generating assets.Equal Employment Opportunity OPG is committed to fostering an inclusive, equitable, and accessible environment.
