Job description
Become a key player at Thales as a Certification Officer in Victoria, BC, responsible for managing the certification processes for naval vessels in a hybrid workplace. You will focus on ensuring compliance with Classification Society standards through effective project oversight.This role supports the Royal Canadian Navy’s vessel programs and involves close collaboration with internal teams and external certification bodies. As the main point of contact, you will address all certification inquiries and ensure ongoing compliance with evolving standards. Previous experience in marine surveying and understanding of naval certification requirements are essential for success.Key Responsibilities: • Manage certification schedules and quality assurance • Communicate with Classification Society during surveys • Oversee vessel compliance with technical regulations • Assist in the planning of maritime certification activities • Maintain and update certification tracking toolsRequirements: • 5+ years in marine industry or surveying • Familiarity with naval regulations and compliance • Understanding of Classification Society operational rules • Marine engineering degree or equivalent • Must qualify for security clearancesMake a difference in naval vessel certification and compliance at Thales today! #J-18808-Ljbffr
