Job Title: Quality Control Supervisor
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Control Supervisor to oversee and ensure compliance with quality standards, client requirements, and internal quality programs. This role involves supervising QC inspectors, managing inspection activities, and supporting the continuous improvement of the quality management system.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all work activities to ensure compliance with quality standards, client requirements, and internal quality programs.
- Supervise and provide direction to QC Inspectors on site.
- Perform and manage receipt, in-process, and final inspections and testing activities.
- Develop and review Inspection and Test Plans when not provided by the client.
- Ensure accurate completion of inspection reports, documentation, and work sign-offs.
- Monitor special processes and verify inspection and testing requirements are met.
- Identify, document, and manage non-conformances, including corrective actions and resolution.
- Coordinate QC activities with project teams, subcontractors, and external parties.
- Interface with regulatory authorities and inspection agencies.
- Support implementation and continuous improvement of the quality management system.
- Ensure compliance with safety programs and proper use of inspection and testing equipment.
- Maintain control of inspection and testing records and ensure traceability.
- Stop work if quality requirements are not being met.
Essential Skills
- Minimum 10 years of construction or trades experience.
- Minimum 5 years of QA/QC experience in inspection, non-conformance control, and test planning.
- Post-secondary education in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of applicable codes and industry standards.
- Experience with inspection and test planning, quality documentation, and compliance processes.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Work Environment
This role is physically demanding and may require working at heights, in confined spaces, or in controlled environments. Shift work, weekend work, and travel may be involved, with adherence to strict safety, security, and regulatory protocols. The primary location is Pickering, with occasional work at Darlington. Shifts are typically 4-day, 10-hour shifts from Monday to Thursday, with day shifts starting at 7:00 am and night shifts at 5:00 pm. Some overtime may be required. Night shifts are infrequent and are handled through volunteer rotation or crew rotation when necessary.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pickering, ON.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $75.00 - $90.00/hr.
