Description & Requirements

who we are

lululemon is an innovative performance apparel company for yoga, running, training, and other athletic pursuits. Setting the bar in technical fabrics and functional design, we create transformational products and experiences that support people in moving, growing, connecting, and being well. We owe our success to our innovative product, emphasis on stores, commitment to our people, and the incredible connections we make in every community we're in. As a company, we focus on creating positive change to build a healthier, thriving future. In particular, that includes creating an equitable, inclusive and growth-focused environment for our people.

about this team

The Global Finance Shared Services (GFSS) team plays a critical role in supporting lululemon's operational efficiency and scalability. Within GFSS, the Supplier Master Data & Compliance (SMD&C) team includes Master Data Management (MDM), Business Licenses (BL), and Gift Cards (GC), and is responsible for key processes such as maintaining accurate vendor records, ensuring stores have the required business licenses, processing gift cards, and supporting regulatory reporting and compliance requirements.

Our team operates with a strong focus on operational excellence and strategic enablement, emphasizing speed, accuracy, and clear communication. We partner closely across functions and foster a high‑engagement environment where curiosity, ownership, and a sense of fun are part of how we work.

core responsibilities

This role leads the MDM, BL, and GC function within Global Finance Shared Services, with accountability for operational performance, people leadership, data governance, and continuous improvement. The role balances strategic oversight with hands‑on leadership to ensure reliable execution, strong controls, and scalable processes that support global growth.

  • Provide overall leadership for MDM, BL, and GC operations, including accountability for both local and offshore teams, service delivery, and outcomes.
  • Build, coach, and develop team members and partners, setting clear expectations, reinforcing ownership, and driving a strong performance culture.
  • Leverage data, KPIs, and operational insights to set priorities, inform decisions, proactively manage risk, and drive continuous improvement and change.
  • Champion cross‑functional initiatives and partner with key business and stakeholders to deliver operational excellence and strategic impact.
  • Own governance and ensure compliance with applicable Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) controls, internal policies, and audit requirements.
  • Provide oversight of ServiceNow intake and execution, ensuring SLA adherence, effective prioritization, and a consistent, customer‑focused experience.
  • Establish and maintain strong process discipline through documentation standards, SOPs, and controls, enabling scalability and audit readiness.

qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 6-8 years of experience in Master Data Management (MDM), Accounts Payable, or related finance operations, with exposure to global processes preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams or workstreams, including coaching, performance management, and accountability for results (local and/or offshore).
  • Strong understanding of vendor data governance, internal controls, and operational risk, with working knowledge of tax reporting processes (e.g., 1099, T4A) and related‑party reporting considered an asset.
  • Proven ability to partner cross‑functionally and with business stakeholders of all levels to resolve complex issues and drive alignment.
  • Experience overseeing operations within ERP and workflow environments (e.g., ServiceNow), with accountability for SLAs, quality, and customer experience.
  • Track record of leading continuous improvement initiatives or projects that improved efficiency, scalability, or control effectiveness.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to translate data and KPIs into decisions, priorities, and actions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide clear direction, influence outcomes, and represent the function with confidence.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment, balancing operational demands with longer‑term improvement goals.
  • Advanced proficiency in various Microsoft Office Apps.

must haves
  • Acknowledge the presence of choice in every moment and take personal responsibility for your life.
  • Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and continuously innovate to achieve great results.
  • Communicate with honesty and kindness and create the space for others to do the same.
  • Lead with courage, knowing the possibility of greatness is bigger than the fear of failure.
  • Foster connection by putting people first and building trusting relationships.
  • Integrate fun and joy as a way of being and working, aka doesn't take yourself too seriously.
