Based in Huntsville, ON , the Civil Engineering Technician will have a wide range of duties assisting in all aspects of Engineering project delivery, with a focus on Civil and Water Resources Engineering.
This fall co-op will primarily involve performing and assisting with construction inspection. This position runs from September-December 2026.
The wage range for this role is $21.00 - $26.00 hourly.
What You’ll Do: As part of the TULLOCH Engineering team, you will: Performing and assisting with construction inspections on various projects (This will be the primary responsibility for this role.) Support preparation of plans, proposals, specifications, supporting documents, reports, and permit applications Support stormwater management design and other aspects of Water Resources management projects Work in a team to develop Site Plan preparation documents including site services, grading, drainage, and stormwater management Assist with civil engineering design for municipal infrastructure Work in a team on Subdivision development projects Please note that this job description is not meant to be an all-inclusive statement of every duty and responsibility that will ever be required of an employee in the job.
Who You Are: You are willing to travel for site inspections and fieldwork on a daily basis You can pivot and alter approach to accomplish desired results You are not afraid to raise your hand when you need help You are trusted with the freedom to work independently while contributing to overall team success What You Should Bring: The ideal candidate will be enrolled in a relevant field of study (Civil Engineering, Water Resources).
Additionally, you should have: Knowledge of AutoCAD is considered an asset Knowledge of OttHymo, MIDUSS, Rational Method, etc., is considered an asset Experience in the use of Total Station and GPS Survey Equipment is considered an asset High motivation with results-oriented focus Superior organizational and multi-tasking skills Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills Excellent communication skills (oral and written) Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Valid Class G driver’s licence What We Offer You: TULLOCH has built a passionate workforce with a strong and vibrant culture which has been the key to our success.
