The City of Iqaluit is looking for a Facilities Worker to join our team! Title: Facilities Worker Department : Recreation Status : Full Time permanent Rate of Pay : $34.25/ per hour 35 hours a week Settlement Allowance: $20,907.43 per annum Union Status: Unionized Reporting to the Facilities Coordinator, the Facility Worker is responsible for establishing recreational programs through the operation and maintenance of the arena, curling rinks, ball fields, parks, and playgrounds.
Required Education and Experience: Minimum Level of Education/Training: Grade 10 or Equivalent CPR and First Aid Certification or ability to obtain Minimum Level of Experience: Up to 1 year of experience performing Custodial Duties.
Additional Requirements: Indigenous Language : Required Security : A Criminal Record Check is required for the position As per Article 23 of the Nunavut Land Claims Agreement, priority will be given to Nunavut Land Claim Beneficiaries who meet the criteria.
Equivalencies that include a combination of education and experience may be considered .
