Secondment Opportunity

Position available for 2026/2027 School year

The Provincial and Demonstration Schools Branch is looking to fill one (1) Learning Services Department Facilitator position to support the Math program at our Demonstration Schools.

The successful applicant for this position will work out of the Demonstration School closest to their school board. Some travel between schools may be required. OPS travel policies will apply. The Learning Services Department Facilitator position will have responsibility for the following:

• Demonstration school data analysis and review, progress monitoring.
• Onboarding training and PD development/ delivery/ coordination for all demonstration school staff.
• Coaching support for demonstration school staff.
• Coordination of ongoing neuroscience research review, consultation, and PD for staff.
• Supporting demonstration school and system improvement planning.
• Website and workshop content review.
• Supporting daily transitions of students.
• Working with demonstration school staff and other professional supports to collaborate, build consensus, and ultimately align programs based on evidence-based research and high impact programming specific to the needs of students with learning disabilities.

In addition to the common responsibilities, the position will be responsible for the following:

Learning Services Department Facilitator – Mathematics

Must be a Permanent Teacher from a DSB and having taught math within their current school board:

• Alignment of math programming.
• Supporting implementation, as required, of evidence-based Tier 2 and 3 math resource supports.
• Supporting implementation of de-streamed math and new math curriculum.
• Cross-curricular support.
• Other duties as assigned.

Please note: PDSB will accept applications from Permanent Teachers from an Ontario School Board. Teachers employed by a school board on a Long Term Occasional or Supply basis are not eligible to apply for a secondment position.

• Amethyst Demonstration School,1515 Cheapside Street, London, ON
• Sagonaska Demonstration School, 350 Dundas Street West, Belleville, ON
• Trillium Demonstration School, 347 Ontario Street South, Milton, ON
