Join the Quality Assurance (QA) team at TELUS Health as a QA Manager. You will lead a talented team of QA analysts, with a focus on people development, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

What You’ll Do

• Team Management and Talent Development (50-60% of the time)Directly manage ~12 quality assurance analysts, fostering their professional development and engagementConduct regular one-on-one meetings (1:1s) to support, coach, and evaluate performanceIdentify the potential of each team member, define clear career paths, and support their progressionCreate an environment of trust and collaboration by building a high-performing team, fostering accountability, development, conflict resolution, and effective resource management with empathy

• Continuous Improvement and Systemic Problem-Solving (30-40% of the time)Challenge the Status Quo: Analyze operational inefficiencies and structural team challenges with a fresh perspectiveDesign Sustainable Solutions: Develop and implement improvement projectsOptimize Team Efficiency: Identify operational bottlenecks and implement solutions to increase productivity and team member satisfaction

• Collaboration with QA Leaders (10-20% of the time)Work closely with other QA managers in a team spirit to align strategic and operational effortsBe able to collaborate with different teams and stakeholders, understand internal challenges, and use your influence to gain necessary support for projects

What You Bring

• Required skills:University degree in computer science, engineering, actuarial science, or related field8+ years of quality assurance experience3+ years of experience in a QA team management roleProven people management experience: managing teams of at least 10 people with demonstrated skills in coaching, talent development, and performance managementExcellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in French and EnglishSolid knowledge of quality assurance processes and industry standards for software testingAbility to inspire and motivate a team, creating an environment of trust, collaboration, and accountabilityPassion for helping others grow, identifying their potential, and advancing their careersAbility to see the big picture and align individual efforts with broader organizational objectivesAbility to persevere in the face of challenges, maintain high standards under pressure, and bounce back from setbacksComfort navigating complex structures, influencing, and managing organizational dynamicsAvailable for travel to the Montreal office

• Assets:Previous experience in a SAFe environment or large-scale Agile methodologiesExperience with digital transformations or modernization initiativesKnowledge of talent management best practicesExperience working with offshore teamsExperience developing test strategies and plans for large-scale projectsStrong interest in new technologies and AI
  

Advanced knowledge of English is required because you will on a regular basis interact in English with external parties (clients, suppliers, candidates, external partners, etc.); interact in English with internal parties (colleagues, internal partners, stakeholders, etc.); and work with IT tools whose interface is only accessible in English as part of this position's main responsibilities given its international scope.
