We still make the trailers we’re known for, like our Avalanche and Smoothflow, but we have expanded our product lineup to help meet the growing demand for energy and aluminum enclosures, which play a role in power generation products. THE ROLE
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for ensuring the right materials are available at the right time, in the right place, and at the best total cost to support efficient production and customer delivery. This is a leadership role accountable for end‑to‑end supply chain execution, including procurement, inventory planning, receiving, and warehousing operations. The role ensures material availability, inventory accuracy, and efficient internal flow of goods. The role requires strong technical purchasing capability, including the ability to interpret engineering requirements, challenge specifications where appropriate, and ensure materials are sourced in alignment with design intent, manufacturability, and cost objectives. The Supply Chain Manager leads and develops both the supply chain and warehouse teams (including unionized staff), driving accountability, safety, and continuous improvement across all material sourcing, handling, and storage activities. This role is accountable for uninterrupted material supply to production and for the accuracy and integrity of inventory. RESPONSIBILTIIES
Strategy & Performance Ownership
Develop and execute an integrated supply chain strategy aligned with business growth, cost, and delivery objectives Establish and manage KPIs (material availability, inventory turns, supplier performance, warehouse efficiency) Drive continuous improvement initiatives across procurement, planning, and warehouse operations
Procurement & Supplier Management
Lead sourcing, supplier selection, contract negotiation, and relationship management Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships across North America Monitor supplier performance and enforce accountability for cost, quality, and delivery Track market trends, pricing, and supply risks; implement mitigation strategies Execute cost reduction initiatives across materials, freight, and commercial terms Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and bills of materials to support sourcing decisions Partner with engineering to review requirements, challenge specifications where appropriate, and improve cost and manufacturability outcomes
Inventory, Planning & Material Availability
Ensure material availability to meet production schedules and customer commitments Optimize inventory levels to balance working capital and service levels Collaborate cross‑functionally with production, engineering, and sales Improve planning processes to reduce shortages, expedite risk, and excess inventory
Receiving, Warehousing & Material Flow
Lead receiving, warehousing, and internal material handling operations Ensure accurate and timely receipt and system processing of incoming materials Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and disciplined processes Optimize warehouse layout, organization, and material flow to support production efficiency Implement standard work, visual management, and process improvements
Risk, Compliance & Reporting
Identify and mitigate supply chain risks (supply disruption, shortages, logistics constraints) Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, contracts, and company policies Report on supply chain performance with clear, actionable insightsMaintain documentation, procedures, and audit readiness
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or similar 5–10 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or materials management within a discrete manufacturing environment Demonstrated experience with technical purchasing, including sourcing based on engineered drawings, specifications, and BOMs Proven ability to work cross‑functionally with engineering teams to support product and cost optimization 3–5 years of leadership experience, including team development and performance management Experience working within or alongside a unionized workforce is an asset Demonstrated track record of cost savings and operational improvement Robust understanding of supply chain systems, ERP platforms, and data‑driven decision‑making KEY COMPETENCIES
