At Alstom, we understand transport networks and what moves people. From high-speed trains, metros, monorails, and trams, to turnkey systems, services, infrastructure, signalling and digital mobility, we offer our diverse customers the broadest portfolio in the industry. Every day, more than 80 000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars.

Could you be the full-time Installation Engineering Leader in Toronto, ON, we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your installation engineering expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dynamic and collaborative teammates.

You'll play a pivotal role in reducing the carbon footprint of Canada’s busiest public transit system by contributing to the transformation of the Greater Toronto and Hamilton areas (GTHA) through the GO Expansion On-Corridor Works project. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (including the Project Installation Engineering Manager, Field Operations Manager, and Installation Supervisors), lead installation engineering activities, and ensure the delivery of high-quality documentation in compliance with Alstom’s standards and strategies, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of organizing and leading installation engineering activities and ensuring compliance with EHS policies and local regulations, but also liaising with BIM Coordinators to coordinate common installation engineering studies and deliverables.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Organizing, leading, and coordinating installation engineering activities for projects

  • Providing a list of deliverables with related schedules and workloads

  • Proposing validation cycles for documentation and ensuring timely delivery

  • Supporting project leaders in QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) reviews and risk management

  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders for data collection and delivery

  • Performing site surveys and mock-ups during the execution phase, if necessary

  • Ensuring compliance with Alstom’s Digital & Integrated Systems Installation and Field Operations processes

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • P. Eng certification or in progress

  • Strong knowledge of railway products and services across market segments (Urban, Mainline, F&M)

  • Basic experience in railway site management

  • Experience managing by Quality, Cost, and Delivery objectives

  • Background in EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety)

  • Knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modelling) procedures and tools

Things you’ll enjoy Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

  • Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from boring daily routines

  • Work with new security standards for rail signalling

  • Collaborate with transverse teams and helpful colleagues

  • Contribute to innovative projects

  • Utilise our flexible and inclusive working environment

  • Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries

  • Benefit from our investment in your development, through award-winning learning

  • Progress towards opportunities in project or technical leadership roles

  • Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension)

Compensation
