For more than 40 years, RHAC has supported people living with, at risk of, and affected by HIV/AIDS and hepatitis C through education, advocacy, harm reduction, and community-based services grounded in dignity, equity, and social justice.

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director provides leadership across organizational strategy, operations, finances, people leadership, partnerships, and community engagement. The successful candidate will strengthen RHAC’s impact while fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and accountable organizational culture.

Position Status: Existing vacancy

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

Location: London, ON

Pay Range: $90,000 - $100,000

We pay a competitive sector salary plus comprehensive benefits and professional development opportunities.

RHAC offers a flexible, supportive, and mission-driven work environment where collaboration, inclusion, and community leadership are valued

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the organization’s strategic and operational direction
  • Partner with the Board to advance organizational priorities and sustainability
  • Support and mentor staff while fostering a healthy workplace culture
  • Oversee financial management, budgeting, and organizational accountability
  • Build strong relationships with funders, healthcare partners, government, and community organizations
  • Advance advocacy, education, and community engagement initiatives
  • Ensure programs and services reflect principles of harm reduction, anti-oppression, health equity, and GIPA/MEPA

About You

You are an experienced and people-centered leader with a strong commitment to community health and social justice.

You bring:

  • Senior leadership experience in nonprofit, healthcare, public health, or community-based organizations
  • Experience leading teams, operations, and strategic initiatives
  • Knowledge of harm reduction, anti-oppression, trauma-informed practice, and health equity
  • Strong financial, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Experience working with Boards, funders, and community stakeholders
  • Understanding of the realities facing people impacted by HIV/AIDS, substance use, poverty, homelessness, or mental health challenges
  • A combination of lived, academic, volunteer, and professional experience will be considered.

Commitment to Equity

RHAC is committed to employment equity and encourages applications from Indigenous, Black, racialized, and 2SLGBTQIA+ communities, people living with HIV/AIDS, people with disabilities, and individuals with lived experience relevant to the communities we serve.

How to Apply

Accommodation is available throughout the recruitment process upon request.

We thank all applicants for their interest and we appreciate your interest. All candidates will receive a communication from us letting you know your status.

Application deadline: July 2nd 2026
