Salary: To be commensurate with qualifications and experience in the range of $76,112 - $89,717 per annum.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

Acadia University is looking for an experienced financial professional to join our Financial Services team as the Manager, Revenue and Ancillary Services.

Reporting to the Executive Director, Financial Services, this role is responsible for overseeing key revenue-related activities, supporting financial reporting and analysis, managing financial systems, and helping improve financial processes across the University.

In this position, you will:

  • Lead the University's receivable and revenue-related operations.
  • Provide financial analysis, forecasting, and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
  • Support and enhance the University's financial systems and reporting tools.
  • Management of modules within the Finance and Enterprise Resource Planning System (the "ERP System"), including the maintenance and testing of changes to this and other software that interfaces with the ERP System.
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting and help coordinate the annual audit process.
  • Develop and maintain strong financial controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Partner with departments across campus to improve processes and support operational initiatives.
  • Provide financial guidance and analysis related to ancillary services and other revenue-generating activities.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining accounting, financial analysis, systems management, and process improvement. You'll work closely with leaders across the University, helping them understand financial information, identify opportunities, and make informed decisions.

What you'll need

Qualifications

  • We are seeking candidates who hold an undergraduate degree in accounting and possess a CPA (Certified Professional Accountant) designation.
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP and Fund Accounting.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including staff supervision, coaching, and performance management.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and accounting principles.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and complex financial databases.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to explain complex financial information to non-financial audiences.
