Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator/Machine Operator for a contract/temporary opportunity in Windham Centre, ON within the food and beverage production industry. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on manufacturing experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to operate production equipment while safely moving materials using Electric Counterbalance and Reach forklifts.
This opportunity offers a steady straight day shift schedule, Monday to Friday, with the potential to transition from temporary to permanent employment. Key Responsibilities
- Set up, adjust, and operate production machines to meet daily production requirements.
- Monitor machine performance, complete routine inspections, and identify minor operating issues.
- Troubleshoot basic machine problems and support efficient production flow.
- Safely operate Electric Counterbalance and Reach forklifts to move raw materials, packaging, and finished products.
- Follow food production, packaging, quality, and workplace safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while supporting team productivity.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay rate: $22 per hour.
- Job type: Contract/temporary.
- Schedule: Straight day shift, Monday to Friday- 7:00am-3:30pm
- Opportunity to transition from temporary to permanent employment.
