Revery is looking for someone passionate about working in the Hospitality Industry.
What will you be doing?
JOB OVERVIEW
Prepare meals per the portion and quality standards specified in recipes.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare meals and assist in all kitchen activities to ensure that guests receive high-quality food items promptly. Coordinate the smooth service concerning the pass and pick-up of food.
Organize the day for the cooks and restaurants; supervise line set-up and miseen place.
Identify all foods for repurposing after a daily line check is performed.
Innovate as a group, the ingredients for either daily specials or other purposes such as freezing, Jarring, or dehydrating.
Label and date all products according to the respective standards set out by supervisors.
Communicate to supervisors any items that are in short supply, impacting menu items and offerings.
Advise the supervisor of low inventory items or may order necessary food items.
Assist in receiving items and taking inventory as needed.
Maintain sanitation and cleanliness standards in the kitchen area that meet or exceed the provincial and local Health Board inspection and hotel requirements.
Report all unsafe or malfunctioning equipment to the supervisor.
Assist in the training of kitchen staff; ensure that all cooks’ duties have been performed during the shift, and may give direction to the Second Cook.
Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments. May occasionally interact directly with guests.
Ability to perform functions with minimal supervision.
May assist by performing ware washer/dishwasher or other kitchen duties as needed.
Taste all foods prepared and check with the sous chef for guidance on quality.
May assist with other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
In carrying out your duties, you will follow all Company and Brand Standards.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or equivalent plus one year of 3 years of experience in food preparation, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Some colleges are preferred.
Friendly and hospitality-focused
Attention to detail.
Red Seal Certification
Certification of culinary training or apprenticeship
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, stressful environment.
