Our public sector client is seeking a Senior ERP Programmer Analyst – SAP ABAP Programmer (Secret Clearance, 10+ years) to develop and maintain SAP ERP systems within modernization projects for finance, material, and people management

Join a high-impact government program focused on modernizing enterprise information systems supporting multiple departments. This contract role contributes to the Digital Comptrollership Program, implementing SAP S/4HANA solutions for small federal organizations. The position provides visibility across key modernization initiatives and collaboration within an integrated technical and functional team in Ottawa.

Must Haves

• SAP and ABAP programming experience developing and enhancing ERP solutions within the Government of Canada context
• SAP S/4HANA project involvement supporting finance, material, and people management modules
• Hands-on work with SAP integration including inbound/outbound interfaces and architecture
• Secret security clearance valid for federal contracting work
• Post-secondary education in computer science, information systems, or a related discipline

Nice to Have

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA migration or modernization initiatives
• Background supporting multiple small GC organizations under cluster deployments
• Familiarity with MS Project Server for reporting and progress documentation

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed requirements, code, and system components for SAP ERP environments
• Perform unit testing and support integration, regression, and user acceptance activities
• Document technical specifications, screens, reports, and interfaces
• Design and implement functionalities for computer systems and sub-systems
• Plan and develop inbound and outbound SAP interfaces and related architecture
• Assist in maintenance, upgrades, and cleanup of ABAP and development environments
• Provide analysis, configuration, and problem resolution across programs and modules
