Job description

Support our simulation products with knowledge of design tools such as Creo and Microstation. Serve as the first line of contact for all issues and requests from the manufacturing group to ensure the stability and standardization of our products. Contribute ideas to improve our processes, tools, and products in order to reduce costs, shorten lead times, increase quality, and ensure safe working conditions. Be able to perform computer-aided design (CAD) creation tasks as well as drafting/detailing. Teamwork, communication, collaboration with different groups, and an open mind are major assets.

Our Client operates across Canada, and globally/internationally in the United States and other countries. This company takes all reasonable means to limit the number of positions in Quebec that require knowledge of a language other than French, and only requires this where it is necessary and its existing bilingual employees are unable to fulfil these job duties.

Based on an assessment conducted by our client, it has been determined that this position requires candidates to have an intermediate level of English (oral and written). In particular, this position will require the employee to: communicate with English-speaking clients/partners/employees located outside Quebec on a regular basis

Apporter des idées d’amélioration de nos processus, outils et produits pour diminuer nos couts, diminuer nos délais, augmenter notre qualité et travailler en sécurité. Être en mesure d’exécuter des taches de création de design en logiciel assiste par ordinateur ainsi que de la mise en plan. Travail d’équipe, communication et collaboration avec diffèrent groupe et ouverture d’esprit sont des atouts majeurs.



Vos responsabilités:



Lire et interpréter des dessins d’ingénierie.

Conception en CAO et mise en plan avec outil Creo et Microstation.

Fournir le support d'ingénierie pour les équipes de fabrication avec les enjeux de fabrication et de conception.

Trouver des solutions a des problématiques complexes.

Suggérer et mener des améliorations dans nos processus, produis et outils.

Préparer et présenter des rapports d'analyse technique.

Doit être capable de participer activement dans un environnement avec plusieurs intervenants et fonctions.

Performer différentes autres taches requises.



Vos qualifications:

Baccalauréat en génie mécanique ou l’équivalent ou une technique dans un domaine connexe.

5 ans ou plus d’expérience dans le domaine.

Expérience dans un environnement de support Andon un atout majeur.

Connaissance mécanique pour la conception et la mise en plan.

Connaissance outil CAO Creo et 2D Microstation.

Connaissance en conception et processus de fabrication en métal en feuilles

Détention du permis d'ingénieur (ing.) et être membre de l'Odre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) (atout).

Bilinguisme (Français & Anglais)

Your Responsibilities:
Read and interpret engineering drawings.

Perform CAD design and drafting using Creo and Microstation.

Provide engineering support to manufacturing teams regarding production and design challenges.

Find solutions to complex problems.

Suggest and lead improvements in our processes, products, and tools.

Prepare and present technical analysis reports.

Must be able to actively participate in a multi-stakeholder, cross-functional environment.

Perform various other duties as required.

Qualifications
Your Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) or a technical diploma in a related field.

5 or more years of experience in the field.

Experience in an Andon support environment is a major asset.

Mechanical knowledge for design and drafting.

Proficiency with Creo CAD software and 2D Microstation.

Knowledge of sheet metal design and manufacturing processes.

Professional Engineer license (P.Eng. / ing.) and membership with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) is an asset.

Bilingualism (French & English).
