Job Title: Maintenance TechnicianJob DescriptionThe Maintenance Technician maintains and improves production equipment in a beverage filling and packaging facility by performing preventive and reactive maintenance, troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical issues, and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently. This role supports a structured preventive maintenance program, reduces unplanned downtime, and keeps high-speed packaging lines running at optimal performance.
Responsibilities
- Follow and help develop a comprehensive preventive maintenance program for all plant equipment to minimize breakdowns and extend equipment life.
- Perform scheduled weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance tasks on production machinery and support systems.
- Inspect, calibrate, and maintain machinery and components to ensure reliable operation and compliance with plant standards.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems to quickly identify and resolve equipment issues.
- Perform preventive and reactive equipment maintenance in a production environment, prioritizing safety and uptime.
- Diagnose and repair gearboxes, motors, valves, and related mechanical components on production lines.
- Maintain and repair high-speed packaging machinery, including conveyors, depalletizers, cartoners, and labelers.
- Use electrical and pneumatic schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation to guide troubleshooting and repairs.
- Perform PLC troubleshooting at a basic level as required to support equipment operation and fault diagnosis.
- Document maintenance activities accurately and thoroughly, including work performed, parts used, and findings.
- Communicate equipment status, issues, and recommendations clearly in English to supervisors, operators, and team members.
- Participate in training on the day shift and transition to night shift as required to support production schedules.
- Work in accordance with GMP requirements, including proper use of hairnets, beard coverings, and restrictions on jewelry.
- Follow all safety procedures and plant policies while working around high-speed equipment and in a manufacturing environment.
Essential Skills- Hands-on experience performing preventive and reactive maintenance on production equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, including experience with gearboxes, motors, valves, and other mechanical components.
- Experience maintaining high-speed packaging machinery such as conveyors, depalletizers, cartoners, and labelers.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems safely and effectively.
- Familiarity with PLC troubleshooting sufficient to support basic fault finding and reset procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and equipment documentation.
- Strong documentation skills for recording maintenance activities, findings, and parts usage.
- Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate with team members and document work.
- Comfort working in a structured preventive maintenance program with scheduled weekly, monthly, and annual tasks.
- Willingness and ability to train on a day shift and transition to a night shift schedule.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Previous experience in a beverage filling, packaging, or similar GMP manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with industrial electrical systems and pneumatic components in a production setting.
- Familiarity with GMP practices, including cleanliness standards and personal protective requirements.
- Comfort working around high-speed automated equipment and understanding of related safety practices.

Work Environment
This role is based in a beverage filling and packaging facility that is well lit and temperature controlled, providing a comfortable and clean working environment. The plant operates under Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards, requiring attention to cleanliness and hygiene. Team members wear hairnets, beard coverings where applicable, and refrain from wearing jewelry while on the production floor. You work around high-speed packaging equipment such as conveyors, depalletizers, cartoners, and labelers, using industrial tools and diagnostic equipment to perform maintenance and troubleshooting. The schedule begins with training on a day shift for approximately two weeks, Monday through Thursday from 6:00 . to 4:30 . After training, the position transitions to a night shift, Monday through Thursday from 6:00 . to 6:00 . The assignment is expected to last at least one to two months. The workday includes one unpaid lunch period and a paid 15-minute break, with operations structured around production needs and adherence to safety and GMP requirements.
