Role Expectations

This role requires someone who can operate as a strong Salesforce BA while also supporting quality validation and basic admin-related understanding.

The candidate should be able to interact with clients daily, document clear requirements, validate delivered functionality, and work effectively in a fast-paced Salesforce delivery environment.

  1. We are looking for a Salesforce Business Analyst with 6+ years of relevant Salesforce BA experience, preferably with prior experience in Salesforce QA, Salesforce Administration, or functional Salesforce delivery roles.
  2. The ideal candidate should have strong experience working in the Retail industry and hands-on exposure to Salesforce platforms including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Loyalty Cloud, Data Cloud, and Consumer Goods Cloud.
  3. This role is a blended position requiring strong business analysis skills, customer-facing communication, quality validation mindset, and basic Salesforce administration understanding.
  4. The candidate should be comfortable working with fast-moving clients, multiple Salesforce orgs, and cross-functional Salesforce delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Work closely with business stakeholders, clients, product owners, Salesforce teams, and delivery teams to understand business needs and translate them into clear Salesforce requirements.
  2. Participate in daily customer interactions, requirement discussions, grooming sessions, sprint planning, demos, and validation meetings.
  3. Capture, analyze, and document business requirements, process flows, user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional details.
  4. Convert grooming discussions and business inputs into well-structured user stories with clear business value and testable acceptance criteria.
  5. Support Salesforce implementation and enhancement work across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Loyalty Cloud, Data Cloud, and Consumer Goods Cloud.
  6. Work with multiple Salesforce orgs and understand differences in configuration, data, process, and user experience across environments.
  7. Collaborate with Salesforce Admins, Developers, Architects, QA teams, and business users to ensure requirements are understood and delivered correctly.
  8. Review Salesforce functionality from a business and user perspective to ensure the solution meets expected outcomes.
  9. Support QA and validation activities by reviewing test scenarios, validating completed user stories, identifying gaps, and helping confirm expected system behavior.
  10. Assist with functional testing, user acceptance testing support, defect triage, and issue clarification.
  11. Apply basic Salesforce Admin understanding where needed, including user access, page layouts, fields, reports, dashboards, object configuration, data validation, and environment navigation.
  12. Work in a fast-paced client environment with changing priorities and evolving business needs.
  13. Identify requirement gaps, process risks, data concerns, and user experience improvements.
  14. Support documentation including requirement documents, process flows, test scenarios, release notes, training notes, and user guides.

Required Experience

  1. Minimum 6+ years of relevant Salesforce Business Analyst experience.
  2. Strong experience working with Retail industry business processes.
  3. Hands-on experience or strong understanding of Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
  4. Exposure to Loyalty Cloud, Data Cloud, and Consumer Goods Cloud is highly preferred.
  5. Experience working directly with customers or client stakeholders on a regular basis.
  6. Ability to build user stories from grooming discussions, workshops, and business conversations.
  7. Good understanding of QA processes, test scenario review, defect validation, and UAT support.
  8. Basic understanding of Salesforce Admin activities such as objects, fields, page layouts, profiles, permission
  9. sets, reports, dashboards, and data management.
  10. Experience working with multiple Salesforce orgs or complex Salesforce environments.
  11. Ability to understand business processes quickly and translate them into Salesforce requirements.
  12. Experience working in Agile delivery teams.
  13. Strong communication, documentation, follow-up, and stakeholder management skills

Value Addition

  1. Previous experience as a Salesforce QA Analyst, Salesforce Admin, or combined Salesforce BA/QA role would be an added advantage.
  2. Experience validating Salesforce functionality from both business and end-user perspectives.
  3. Experience supporting demos, UAT sessions, release validation, production validation, and post-release support.
  4. Understanding of retail customer journeys, loyalty programs, service processes, sales processes, consumer data, and store or field-level operations.
