The Department of Paediatrics at the Hospital for Sick Children is recruiting a full-time staff Paediatric Haematologist/Oncologist for a position in the Leukemia/Lymphoma Section, Division of Haematology/Oncology, effective December 1, 2026. The successful candidate must be eligible for a full-time faculty appointment at the rank of assistant, associate or full professor.

SickKids is the largest quaternary care pediatric hospital in Canada and is a teaching hospital for the Temerty Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto – a leading public institution. The Division of Hematology/Oncology at SickKids is one of the largest programs of its kind in North America. The Garron Family Cancer Centre and the SickKids Research Institute support the clinical and research activities of the division.

The Leukemia/Lymphoma Section is a leading clinical academic program dedicated to advanced multi-disciplinary care for children and adolescents with leukemias, lymphomas, and histiocytic disorders. Research activities in the section span a broad spectrum that include clinical trials, supportive care, population-based health services research, translational science, and global health research. The Section also serves as a national referral centre for many early Phase trials of targeted therapies and novel immunotherapies. Members of the section hold key leadership positions in various Children’s Oncology Group (COG) committees. The Section comprises members with clinical expertise in ALL, AML, Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphomas, and histiocytic disorders.

The successful candidate will join a dynamic interprofessional care team. The successful candidate will provide care for patients in the Leukemia/Lymphoma section of the Division in the inpatient and ambulatory settings with responsibilities which include procedures and participation in out-of-hour clinical coverage. Specific interest and expertise in pediatric lymphoma and/or adolescent and young adult (AYA) oncology is preferred but not required. The successful candidate is expected to spend most of the time devoted to clinical service and to making important contributions to the clinical, research and teaching missions of the Division. Evidence of excellence in teaching and research is required. Candidates at all career stages are encouraged to apply.

All candidates must be able to function proficiently in English, hold an MD, MBBS or equivalent thereto and be certified or eligible for certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or have comparable qualifications. Candidates must hold or be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.

The successful candidate must be eligible for an academic appointment at the University of Toronto. Rank and salary will be ($275,543-$350,000) per annum, commensurate with qualifications and experience. The successful candidate will be eligible for a benefit package which includes medical, dental, life insurance, long term disability insurance, group insurance, pension plan, vision care, academic allowance, and a relocation package.
