Job descriptionOur client, an industry leader in aerospace engineering, is seeking a Senior EMC to join their team. As a Senior EMC, you will be part of the Engineering department supporting electromagnetic compatibility initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, leadership qualities, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Senior EMC Location: Dorval, QC (Open to Toronto or Montreal; 2 days a week on-site, subject to change) What's the Job? Lead complex engineering assignments related to EMI, HIRF, LIRF, Lightning, and Electrostatics, utilizing detailed analyses, simulations, and analytical methods. Drive the resolution of electromagnetic issues to support EMC certification and ongoing production activities. Define project scope, plan activities, identify technical risks, and ensure tasks are completed according to priorities. Review and approve engineering documentation such as test procedures, reports, and analysis documents to verify compliance with certification standards. Support knowledge capture initiatives and mentor junior team members to foster continuous improvement and skill development. What's Needed? A degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Sciences, or Physics. Minimum of 8 years of experience in EMC, including work and academic experience. At least 4 years of experience with systems or structures EMC qualification/certification in the aerospace industry. Knowledge of industry standards such as RTCA/DO-160, SAE ARPs, and familiarity with airworthiness regulations (TCCA, FAA, EASA). Excellent problem-solving skills, effective communication abilities, and the capacity to work autonomously within a team environment. What's in it for me?
