Job description
Position Overview We are looking for crew members to join our team as Security Staff at the RBC Amphitheatre to preserve safety, maintain order, and provide an exceptional fan experience.

Job Functions

Circulate among guests and/or other crew members to preserve safety, order, and to protect venue property.

Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of crew members, guests, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security and safety of the premises.

Write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.

Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.

Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas.

Warn persons of rule infractions or violations, and apprehend or evict violators from premises.

Participate in Live Nation Canada zero waste/sustainability initiatives at the venue.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Valid Ontario Security License is required; Security/Law Enforcement experience preferred.

Good working knowledge of security operations, safety practices in a business environment, and enforcement procedures.

Ability to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance; independent judgment within policy and procedures.

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Acute sense of judgment, tact, and diplomacy.

Strong teamwork orientation and ability to execute programs.

Position requires constant walking, climbing stairs, lifting, occasional sitting.

Ability to work outdoors (rain or shine), among crowds and in a loud environment.

A passion for live events.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment Sitting for extended periods at a computer station or desk; standing and walking throughout the day; occasionally moving about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.; using hands and fingers to operate computers and office equipment up to 8 hours per day; lifting up to 10 pounds regularly; exposure to typical office environment conditions and noise levels.

Compensation $21.50 per hour.

Applicant Requirements All crew members must be 18 years of age or older.

Applicants must possess work authorization in Canada that does not require sponsorship for a visa.
