Overview

Elk Island Public Schools (EIPS) is one of the largest school divisions in Alberta, serving the education needs of approximately 17,750 students in 43 schools. EIPS offers dynamic programming, current resources, and practical professional learning opportunities and strives to help staff and students grow and discover their passions in life. Position

Temporary part-time (0.511 FTE) French Immersion Division 2 (Grade 5) Teacher at Heritage Hills Elementary. Heritage Hills Elementary serves approximately 525 students from kindergarten to Grade 6, with 24 teaching staff and 10 support staff. The school is located in Sherwood Park, AB and, as a dual-track school, offers programming in English and French Immersion. The school aims to help every child be a successful, self-motivated learner in a safe and caring environment, empowering students to be lifelong learners in a changing world. Details

Bachelor of Education degree Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate Excellent communication skills in both French and English Effective organization and classroom management skills Ability to create a classroom environment where students feel protected, supported, and challenged Excellent verbal and written skills Experience or familiarity with analyzing data and using data to inform decisions and/or instruction Strong collaboration and teamwork skills Growth mindset and ability to use feedback to improve practice Relentless drive to set and achieve personal and professional goals Application and Contact
