Social Worker at Newfoundland Housing

Become a Social Worker I with Newfoundland and Labrador Housing Corporation and support low-income households in need of assistance. Engage with tenants and address housing-related challenges effectively.

In this permanent role, based in Grand Falls-Windsor, you will report to the Regional Director while managing housing issues through an eviction prevention framework. Focus on crisis responses for clients dealing with complex needs, offering education on tenant rights, and collaborating with various community services.

Key Responsibilities: • Initiate tenant contact and maintain follow-up • Conduct home visits and educational sessions • Develop tenant action plans for housing stability • Collaborate with community services and NLHC staff • Prepare reports and comply with documentation standards

Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Social Work • Experience in social work services provision • Knowledge of housing and homelessness issues • Registration with NL College of Social Workers • Valid class 5 driver’s license for travel
