Job description

Minimum Requirements :

  • Board Certified Pediatric MD / DO with at least 2 years of post-training experience that includes hospital work.

Practice Highlights

  • Pediatric Hospitalists provide in-house 24 / 7 coverage for Whatcom County's only community hospital, St. Joseph Medical Center (Level II Trauma).
  • Scope of care includes Pediatric Unit, Newborn Nursery, Level II Special Care Nursery, delivery attendance, and ER support.
  • Recruiting to expand coverage with a second daytime hospitalist - shifts will include 12-hour day shifts, 12-hour night shifts, and 9-hour day shifts.
  • Physicians are experienced, collegial, supportive, and focused on high-quality, evidence-based medicine.
  • Robust primary care team, strong continuity of care from inpatient to outpatient.
  • Approved for a 0.9-1.0 FTE (the equivalent of 160 (1.0 FTE) 12-hour shifts / year respectively).

    Compensation and Benefits :

  • Guaranteed first-year income (based on a 1.0 FTE) : $251,264.00.
