Job description
Position: Class 1 Driver - Daycab (Local) Location: Chilliwack, British Columbia Type: Full-Time Salary: $32.00 – $34.00 per hour (dependent on experience) + Bonus/Incentive Eligibility About Rainbow Greenhouses Rainbow Greenhouses supplies national retailers and independent growers across North America with year-round live goods. With over 5 million sq. ft. of greenhouse space in BC and Alberta, we operate advanced, resource‑efficient growing systems powered by skilled, hands‑on teams with decades of expertise. From seed to sale, our full‑service model supports retailers with consistent product availability, in‑store service, and merchandising solutions to grow their categories year after year.

About the Opportunity We are seeking a reliable and safety‑focused Class 1 Driver - Daycab (Local) to join our transportation team. You will be responsible for safely transporting goods across regional and long‑distance routes while maintaining compliance with all transportation regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Operate Class 1 tractor‑trailers for routes.

Perform pre‑trip, en‑route, and post‑trip inspections.

Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and HOS/Transport Canada regulations.

Load and unload cargo safely, ensuring proper weight distribution.

Maintain accurate trip records, logs, and required paperwork.

Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse teams.

Report vehicle defects, accidents, or delays promptly.

Provide excellent customer service during deliveries and pickups.

About You

Valid Class 1 driver’s license with a clean driving record.

3–5 years of commercial long‑haul driving experience.

Strong knowledge of highway driving, routes, and safety procedures.

Ability to operate manual and automatic transmissions.

Physically capable of lifting, securing, and handling freight.

Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and teamwork skills.

Basic knowledge of truck operation for minor repairs on the road.

5–6 days per week, 40 hours per week (seasonal variation may apply).
