Job description
Drive financial excellence at Jefferies Financial Group as the Corporate Controller. Oversee accounting, reporting, and governance to enhance performance in Canada. As a key leader in the finance team, you'll collaborate with the Canada CFO and Treasurer to manage finance, regulatory reporting, and tax functions effectively. This role requires comprehensive expertise in IFRS and CIRO for preparing accurate financial statements, while also liaising with auditors and regulatory bodies. Key Responsibilities: • Act as finance business partner to Canada CFO & Treasurer • Lead financial statement preparation in compliance with IFRS • Liaise with internal/external auditors throughout audits • Oversee tax provisions with external consultants • Recommend improvements for financial reporting and internal controls Requirements: • Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or finance • Qualified Accountant CPA or equivalent • 10+ years in accounting/finance within financial services • Strong analytical and communication skills • Proven senior management experience and leadership Elevate Jefferies’ finance operations by applying your expertise in accounting and financial oversight. #J-18808-Ljbffr
