As a VON nurse, you'll deliver holistic person-centred care to children, youth, adults, seniors, and support their families. Client assessments
Provide primary care in collaboration with other healthcare professionals
Medication administration
Wound care
Chronic Disease Management, e.g. diabetes care and education
Specimen collection
Rehabilitative programs
Palliative Care
And many other critical nursing skills
What we're looking for
Must be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the province of practice
Community health experience is an asset
Must enjoy driving, have a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
A current and original copy of a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Search and Child Abuse Registry Check required
Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Working conditions and physical demands This role requires a detail-oriented approach in a dynamic environment, with physical activity including lifting, carrying (using proper techniques), bending, reaching, kneeling, and other movements that emphasize good body mechanics. Individuals in the role are required to walk, sit, stand, and climb stairs throughout the day, with some tasks requiring fine hand movements.
