Senior Manager, External Reporting & Accounting Policy Location: Oshawa, ON ( On-site, 5 days per week )

About the Opportunity We are partnering with a large, highly respected organization operating within a regulated infrastructure environment to recruit a Senior Manager, External Reporting & Accounting Policy. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically strong accounting professional to play a critical role in shaping external reporting, accounting policy, and regulatory compliance within a complex and evolving business.

You will work closely with senior finance leaders, auditors, executive stakeholders, and regulatory bodies while leading a team responsible for external financial reporting and technical accounting matters. Your Responsibilities

You'll lead the preparation and review of quarterly and annual external financial reporting, including financial statements, management discussion and analysis, and other public disclosures

You'll oversee accounting policy development, implementation, and interpretation to ensure compliance with evolving accounting standards

In this role, you'll partner with auditors, regulators, and internal stakeholders to address complex technical accounting matters

You'll drive process improvements that enhance reporting accuracy, efficiency, and governance across the finance function

You'll support executive leadership and board-level reporting by preparing technical analyses and briefing materials

You'll lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team while fostering a collaborative and accountable work environment

Skills and Qualifications

7+ years of progressive experience in external reporting, technical accounting, or financial reporting environments

CPA, CA designation required

Strong knowledge of US GAAP, with working knowledge of IFRS and complex accounting matters

Experience within public company reporting environments, including regulatory filing requirements

Previous experience within a public accounting firm, preferably with exposure to large and complex organizations

Proven ability to research, analyze, and communicate complex accounting issues to diverse stakeholders

Strong leadership, relationship-building, and team development skills
