Job description
Join Veolia North America as a Plant Operator in Haldimand County. Help maintain efficient wastewater treatment operations with hands-on equipment management and monitoring tasks.

As a Plant Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and compliant operation of wastewater treatment facilities. This role includes using SCADA for monitoring, conducting laboratory tests, and troubleshooting equipment. You will collaborate with a team to ensure high operational standards and compliance with client objectives.

Key Responsibilities: • Operate and control mechanical and semi-automatic wastewater treatment equipment • Perform routine lab tests for chemical and biological analyses • Monitor and adjust valves and gates for optimal flow control • Maintain thorough shift logs of operating conditions and system performance • Conduct preventive maintenance and report operational issues

Requirements: • Valid Class I wastewater treatment certification • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail • Proficient in SCADA and lab testing protocols • Reliable with flexible availability, including weekends • Ability to lift up to 20 kg and work outdoors
