Job description
Drive your financial leadership career with OMERS as the Vice President of Financial Reporting. This hybrid role focuses on overseeing consolidated financial statements and sustainability reporting across a global enterprise.

Reporting to the SVP, Corporate Finance, the VP, Financial Reporting will ensure compliance with external financial and reporting obligations. This position requires a strong team-player mentality, excellence in accounting standards, and a focus on developing internal controls. You'll partner closely with various departments to enhance OMERS’ financial reporting strategies.

Key Responsibilities: • Lead preparation of consolidated financial statements and audits • Oversee sustainability reporting compliance and carbon metrics • Develop comprehensive accounting policy and procedures manuals • Maintain internal controls over financial reporting • Collaborate with internal and external auditors for accounting processes

Requirements: • 15+ years of financial reporting experience • CPA designation and degree in finance or accounting • Expertise in IFRS and S. 4600 accounting standards • Ability to lead high-performing teams • Strong written and spoken communication skills
