:Sous la supervision du directeur adjoint en indemnisation – responsabilité civile, professionnelle et hors Québec, vous serez au cœur des enquêtes liées aux sinistres de responsabilité de Beneva et de L’Unique.
Nous sommes à la recherche d’un(e) experte en sinistre senior pour couvrir le secteur de Québec et les alentours.
Dans votre rôle d'expert en sinistres route, vous devrez analyser les circonstances, identifier les causes et évaluer le quantum des réclamations. Ce rôle vous offre l’opportunité de traiter une grande variété de dossiers, allant des réclamations en assurance des particuliers et des entreprises dans le cadre du programme d’assurance responsabilité professionnelle et des administrateurs et dirigeants.
Vous vous réalisez dans les fonctions suivantes :
Enquêter sur les dossiers de sinistres qui lui sont assignés sur la route, notamment en obtenant les déclarations des intervenants concernés.
Vérifier et estimer l’étendue des dommages.
Coordonner les activités des différents intervenants dans le dossier et prendre les décisions sur l’acception de responsabilité et le paiement des sinistres.
Obtenir des soumissions et vérifier les factures présentées par les réclamants, en se référant notamment à la direction de l’estimation en bâtiment ou à professionnel pertinent, s’il y a lieu.
Obtenir des expertises auprès de professionnels afin d’évaluer la responsabilité des assurés.
Déterminer les indemnités payables en tenant compte des protections au contrat d’assurance.
Détecter les dossiers à potentiel frauduleux et le soumettre à son gestionnaire pour transfert à l’unité spéciale d’enquête.
Établir la responsabilité des assurés et s’il y a lieu, faire intervenir des tiers.
Autoriser les règlements et accepter la responsabilité de sinistres selon la limite d’autorité de paiement et obtenir l’autorisation des personnes appropriées pour les dossiers excédent ce montant.
Effectuer des demandes d’avis juridiques dans les cas complexes et prendre par la suite position.
Représenter l’assureur lors de CRA, partout dans la province.
Vos qualifications et talents :
Diplôme ou une attestation d’études collégiales en assurances, option règlement des sinistres.
Minimum de 7 années d’expérience à titre d’expert en sinistres externe et de 5 années dans le traitement de dossiers de responsabilité.
Demeurer disponible pour des déplacements dans toute la province du Québec.
Certificat d’expert en sinistres en assurance des entreprises valide délivré par l’Autorité des marchés financiers.
Connaître la responsabilité professionnelle.
Bien connaître les lois en vigueur dans le cadre de son travail.
