Senior Inventory Control Associate for a full-time opportunity in Ottawa, ON. In this position, you will be responsible for managing inventory across multiple storage locations, supporting internal departments with material replenishment, maintaining inventory accuracy, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. You will play a key role in ensuring inventory integrity and supporting efficient operational processes.
- Salary: $27.14 per hour
- Location: Ottawa, ON
- Schedule: 12 hour shifts (4 on 4 off) | 6:30am to 6:30pm
- Employment Type: Full-Time | Temporary | 6-month contract

Responsibilities- Manage inventory of components stored onsite, at offsite warehouse locations, and within designated departmental storage areas.
- Maintain and manage component inventory within kitting racks, including replenishment and cycle count activities.
- Reconcile inventory records between QAD and internal logistics databases to ensure accuracy.
- Perform daily cycle counts according to established schedules.
- Process disposal requests, TCNs, MDNs, and MMIs with a high degree of accuracy and urgency.
- Replenish production and operational departments with required components on a daily basis.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and stock variances.
- Identify and communicate issues related to expired or obsolete materials to the appropriate departments.
- Support quarterly and year-end physical inventory counts for both onsite and offsite inventory locations.
- Recommend improvements to inventory control and management procedures.
- Maintain stockrooms and inventory areas in a clean, organized, safe, and secure manner.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of high-value, sensitive, and potentially hazardous materials.
- Follow all Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Promote and support a safe and healthy workplace culture.
- Complete additional inventory and logistics-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications- Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
- Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, logistics, or material management.
- Experience performing cycle counts and inventory reconciliation activities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Experience using inventory management systems, ERP systems, or databases is considered an asset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with multiple departments.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
