Adecco is currently hiring a Technical Service Specialist for a full-time opportunity in Ardrossan, AB. This role is ideal for an agriculture professional who is passionate about agronomy, crop production, and supporting growers through technical expertise and field-based research. In this position, you will be responsible for managing field trials, supporting demand creation initiatives, delivering technical training, and providing expert agronomic support to both internal sales teams and external stakeholders. You will play a key role in generating field data, strengthening customer relationships, and supporting product positioning across the region.

Responsibilities- Execute and manage demand creation trials and field activities across the region.
- Oversee all technical requirements associated with field trials, including spraying, equipment operation, maintenance, and harvest activities.
- Coordinate and supervise Technical Agronomy Interns supporting summer demand creation projects and data collection initiatives.
- Manage large-scale grower-applied trials and demonstration sites.
- Coordinate third-party research projects and demonstration trials.
- Collect, analyze, and communicate field trial data to support product positioning and sales objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key centers of influence, including universities, consultants, provincial extension staff, and retail agronomists.
- Provide technical expertise and support to growers, retail customers, and sales teams.
- Develop and deliver technical presentations to both internal and external audiences.
- Provide technical training and ongoing product knowledge reinforcement to sales representatives.
- Train sales teams on investigative field techniques and technical troubleshooting methods.
- Support regional sales objectives by ensuring alignment between marketing, sales, and technical strategies.
- Respond to technical product inquiries and provide recommendations based on research findings and field data.
- Utilize university and field research data to develop tools and resources that support marketing and sales initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and technical documentation.
- Travel throughout the region and overnight as required to support field activities and customer needs.
Qualifications- Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
- Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Agriculture, Biology, Crop Science, Weed Science, Agronomy, Entomology, Plant Pathology, or a related discipline with 1.5 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Candidates with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) and a minimum of 3 years of experience in agriculture sales, research, agronomy, or related functions will also be considered.
- Experience within the agriculture industry and a strong understanding of growers and retail agricultural customers.
- Strong agronomic knowledge and understanding of crop production practices.
- Excellent collaboration, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Passion for supporting innovation and growth within the agriculture industry.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to self-manage priorities, resources, and workload effectively.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and web-based applications.
- Certified Crop Science Consultant (CCSC) designation, or willingness to obtain, is required.
- Willingness to pursue Professional Agrologist (P.Ag.) or Certified Crop Adviser (CCA) designation.
- Ability to travel overnight as required.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
