Role overview
The Performance & Portfolio Lead - R&D plays a key role in enabling a D&T Pillar tooperateas ahigh‑performing, strategically aligned function withinHaleon’sDigital & Technologyorganization.
Working closely with a D&T Leadership Team member, this role translates strategy into clear, structured plans and a well-governed portfolio, ensuring it is actively managed and delivers measurable outcomes. It drives alignment, performance visibility, financial transparency, and disciplined execution, supported by strong governance and consistent ways of working across all D&T Pillars.
As a trusted partner to senior leadership, the role brings clarity in complex environments, ensuresprioritizationacross competing demands, and enables effective decision-making through insightful performance management, governance, and communication. This is a highly visible role requiring strong analytical capability, executive presence, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders across D&T and the wider business.
Key accountabilities
Define and manage the Pillar’s annual andmulti‑yeardelivery and operational portfolio in partnership with the D&T LT member
Ensure consistent portfolio management aligned with Strategic Portfolio Management Office /CoEstandards
Support Integrated Growth Plan (long-range planning) and Annual Business Plan development
Provide clear, consistent performance and financial insight throughhigh‑qualityreporting
Identify, assess, and manage operational and compliance risks at Pillar level
Facilitate key governance forums, including Monthly Operational Reviews and Quarterly Business Reviews

Key responsibilities
1. Strategic Portfolio Definition & Management
Work closely with a D&T LT member and their leadership team to define,manageand evolve the Pillar’s delivery and operational portfolio.
Maintain a single, coherent view of all programmes, workstreams and initiatives within scope.
Ensure priorities, dependencies and delivery plansremainaligned to strategicobjectives.
2. Portfolio Consistency & Governance Discipline
Ensure portfolio management is carried out in a consistent way, aligned to the Strategic Portfolio Management Office /CoEdirection.
Apply common approaches to prioritisation, performance tracking, change control and escalation.
Coordinate andoperategovernance forums, ensuring decisions are taken, actions tracked and outcomes delivered.
3. Planning Cycles & Strategic Alignment
Lead the Pillar’s annual and quarterly planning cycles, includingobjectives, OKRs, roadmaps and inputs to budget planning.
Support Integrated Growth Plan (long‑range planning) and Annual Business Plan build‑out, ensuring delivery and operational portfolios align to strategic intent.
Translate strategy into clear plans,milestonesand measurable outcomes.
4. Performance, Risk & Insight
Implement robust portfolio and performance reporting, enabling effective tracking of progress, risks,issuesand outcomes.
Helpidentifyand manage operational and compliance risks at Pillar level, ensuring visibility, mitigation planning and escalation whererequired.
Bring clarity to complex situations by synthesising data,insightsand trade‑offs for leadership.
5. Financial Reporting & Partnership
Work closely with Finance Operational Analysts and central Financeto ensureclear,consistentand trusted financial reporting across the portfolio.
Support tracking of spend, forecasts and variances, translating financial data into meaningful insights fornon‑finance leaders.
Ensure financial performance discussions are fact‑based and aligned to delivery and operational realities.
6. Leadership Cadence & Governance Forums
Facilitate Monthly Operational Reviews (MORs) with the D&T LT member, ensuring effective discussion of performance,risksand actions.
Support andfacilitateQuarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with the Pillar and the CDTO, ensuring high‑quality preparation, clearnarrativesand outcomes‑focused discussion.
Design andmaintaineffective leadership rhythms that keep the Pillar aligned, informed andoperatingat pace.
7. Cross‑Functional Coordination & Enablement
Act as the central coordination point between the Pillar and key partners across D&T, Finance, Operations, Strategy, Risk and Compliance.
Support workforce planning, vendor coordination and resource alignment whererequired.
Ensure operational processes are aligned and implemented in line with Strategic Portfolio Management Office /CoEguidance.
8. Executive Communications & Ad‑hoc Support
Prepare high‑quality executive communications, updates and briefing materials on behalf of the Pillar.
Handle ad‑hoc strategic and operational requests for the D&T LT member with speed,judgementand clarity.
Reduce operational friction, enabling leadership to focus on strategic priorities.
Your profile
Required:
Experience in portfolio management, strategic planning, performancemanagementor business operations within complex or matrixed organisations.
Analytical and problem‑solving capability, with the ability to bring clarity to ambiguity.
Experience supporting leadership governance forums and executive‑level reporting.
Proven ability to coordinate cross‑functional priorities andmaintainalignment across teams.
Preferred:
Influencing skills and confidence partnering with senior leaders.
Ability tooperatewith discretion,presenceand sound judgement in executive contexts.

Remuneration: 23 300 to 32 040 PLN gross/month, depending on the level of experience and competence.
