Job description
We’re looking for a warm, energetic, and responsible Mother’s Helper to join our family at our cottage this summer and help with our two young children (ages 1 and 4). This role is ideal for someone who enjoys spending time with young kids and is comfortable being an extra set of hands while parents are present. The position is less about sole-charge childcare and more about helping keep the day running smoothly. Responsibilities include: * Playing with and engaging the children in age-appropriate activities * Assisting with outdoor play, walks, swimming supervision, and cottage activities * Helping with snacks and simple meal preparation for the children * Tidying toys, play areas, and children’s belongings throughout the day * Providing extra support during busy times such as meals, transitions, and outings We’re looking for someone who: * Has experience caring for young children * Is patient, reliable, and proactive * Enjoys being outdoors and active * Is comfortable working alongside parents * Has their own transportation to and from the cottage (or can reliably get there) * Had flexibility in their schedule Details: * Part-time, flexible schedule * Summer position * Cottage location: Gravenhurst * Competitive pay based on experiernce This is a great opportunity for an education student, early childhood educator, nanny, babysitter, or someone looking for meaningful summer work with a friendly family.
