Jump Recruitment, on behalf of our client, Nu-Quest Distribution Inc., are seeking a
Warehouse Shipper/Receiver to join their team in Mount Pearl, NL.
Position Summary: The Warehouse Shipper/Receiver is responsible for the accurate receiving, storage, handling, and shipping of products within the warehouse. This role supports inventory control, order fulfillment, warehouse organization, and occasional delivery services while ensuring compliance with company procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and product handling requirements.
Key Responsibilities: Receiving Operations - Receive incoming shipments and verify products against shipping documentation.
- Inspect all deliveries for damage and report discrepancies or shortages.
- Use handheld scanning equipment to receive inventory into the warehouse management system.
- Accurately stock products in designated locations and rotate inventory according to expiry dates, ensuring older stock is positioned for first use.
- Reconcile receiving discrepancies and communicate issues to the Warehouse Supervisor.
Shipping Operations - Verify customer orders against invoices to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment using appropriate packaging materials and containers.
- Apply shipping labels, identifying information, and special handling instructions as required.
- Select the most cost-effective shipping methods while maintaining service requirements.
- Obtain management approval for any additional shipping costs before releasing shipments.
Warehouse Maintenance and Inventory Support - Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Perform shelf organization and inventory housekeeping activities.
- Identify and remove expired, damaged, or outdated products and transfer them to the Returns Department according to company procedures.
- Support inventory accuracy through proper product handling and storage practices.
Delivery Responsibilities - Perform occasional deliveries and pickups as required.
- Deliver products to hospitals, pharmacies, and other customers throughout the Metro area, CBS, Avondale, Pouch Cove, and the Southern Shore.
- Collect and return signed documentation, including Proof of Delivery forms and COS slips, when required.
- Ensure all products are transported safely and securely.
- Return all customer product returns, packaging, and documentation to the warehouse or office upon completion of deliveries.
- Ensure no products, returns, or packaging materials remain in company vehicles after deliveries are completed.
Qualifications & Skills: - Previous warehouse experience is required.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record is preferred for delivery duties.
- Experience with inventory management systems and handheld scanners is considered an asset.
