Building Maintenance Technician (Luxury Building) Laval | On-site |petitivepensation + Benefits
Your New RoleAs a Building Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper operation and overall upkeep of a high-end residential property. You will work on both individual units andmon areas, while delivering a high level of service to residents.Your Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency maintenance calls according to schedule
  • Perform general maintenance, renovations, and touch-ups in vacant units in line with quality standards
  • Maintainmon areas and the building overall
  • Coordinate unit turnover inspections with the customer service team
  • Conduct preventive maintenance inspections andplete required reports
  • Ensure the quality of work performed by contractors
  • Participate actively in training and demonstrate amitment to continuous learning
  • Assist with snow removal operations when required
  • Carry out any other related tasks as needed
Education & Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of renovation or maintenance experience
Technical Skills
  • Working knowledge of English (spoken and written)
Corepetencies:
  • Painting & finishing: surface preparation, sanding, priming, painting, textures
  • Plumbing: installation and repair (toilets, sinks, faucets, valves, drain clearing)
  • Electrical: replacement of lighting fixtures, outlets, and switches
  • Drywall repair
  • Countertop repair and replacement
  • Flooring: vinyl, carpet, tile, baseboards
Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Experience in carpentry, tiling, drywall, flooring, and plumbing
  • Knowledge of hydronic heating systems and boilers
  • Installation and repair of doors, windows, and cabinetry
  • Locksmithing: repair, replacement, rekeying
  • Appliance installation and repair
  • Asbestos certification
Soft Skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple sites
  • Good physical condition (walking, stair climbing, lifting)
  • Ability to handle loads up to 90 kg (with proper equipment)
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to resolve issues effectively on the first visit
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

    En tant que technicien en maintenance, vous serez responsable d’assurer le bon fonctionnement et l’entretien général d’un immeuble résidentiel haut de gamme. Vous interviendrez tant sur les unités que sur les espacesmuns, tout en garantissant un service de qualité supérieure aux résidents.

    Vos responsabilitésTraiter les demandes de service dans un délai de 72 heuresRépondre aux appels d’urgence selon l’horaire établiEffectuer des travaux d’entretien général, rénovations et retouches dans les logements vacants selon les standards de qualitéAssurer l’entretien des airesmunes et du bâtimentCoordonner les inspections de rotation des unités avec l’équipe du service à la clientèleRéaliser les inspections de maintenance préventive et rédiger les rapports requisVeiller à la qualité des travaux effectués par les sous-traitantsParticiper activement aux formations et démontrer un engagement envers preferentialist continuContribuer aux opérations de déneigement lorsque nécessaireEffectuer toute autre tâche connexe selon les besoins opérationnels

    Formation et expérienceMinimum de 2 ans d’expérience en rénovation
  • Connaissance fonctionnelle de l’anglais (oral et écrit)Aisance avec les outils technologiques (essentiel)
    Peinture et finition : préparation des surfaces, sablage, apprêt, peinture, texturesPlomberie : installation et réparation (toilettes, lavabos, robinets, valves, débouchage)Électricité : remplacement de luminaires, prises et interrupteursRéparation de cloisons sèches (drywall)Réparation et remplacement deptoirsRevêtements de sol : vinyle, tapis, céramique, plinthes
    AtoutsExpérience en menuiserie, céramique, plomberie, planchers et cloisons sèchesConnaissance des systèmes de chauffage hydronique et chaudièresInstallation et réparation : portes, fenêtres, armoiresSerrurerie : réparation, remplacement, rekeyingInstallation et réparation d’électroménagersCertification en amiante
