Sproule ERCE is searching for a motivated team player to join our team in Calgary, Canada office as a Business Development Manager. You’ll be part of our business development team, driving client engagement, working on our opportunity pipeline, leading proposal execution, and being an ambassador for Sproule ERCE. Responsibilities:
Strategic Market Engagement:
working with senior leadership to develop a business development plan for regions of focus. Proposal Development:
Acting as a coordinator for proposal delivery, including actively supporting content generation for proposals. Coordination with Marketing:
Coordinating with the Sproule ERCE Marketing Group to have structured approaches to Business Development Sales and Marketing efforts. Account Coordination:
Maintaining client accounts within the Sproule ERCE Business Development framework. Executing the Business Development plan through in-person meetings and engagements. Monitor client and potential client procurement portals for bid opportunities, ensuring Sproule ERCE is at the forefront of new projects and collaborations. Additional duties as required. Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent. Direct experience within the Calgary oil and gas community. Related experience in a similar role in Calgary. 5+ years of dedicated business development experience, with either a consultancy or oilfield services environment. Experience with CRM tools. Direct experience with Salesforce is a plus. Advanced skills in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Pro. A desire and demonstrated ability to learn new software and applications. Proven track record in business development and in-person sales. Positive attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Excellent written and oral communication skills including good knowledge of English grammar. Detail-oriented, with excellent organizational and time management skills. Practices discretion and confidentiality with sensitive information and materials. Demonstrates a high degree of reliability and accountability. Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced professional services environment. Able and willing to work with our Global Business Development team, often via virtual communication.
