  • Collaborate with school grad coaches and support staff to identify the needs and opportunities for youth in their communities.

  • Build and maintain relationships with Indigenous employers and organizations to create internship opportunities for youth.

  • Work closely with CAREERS Program Coordinators and other team members to strategize and implement internship goals.

  • Accurately enter data, metrics, and event information into a database and track interactions with students, schools, employers, and community members.

  • Follow up with Indigenous youth and employers to ensure a smooth transition to internships and promote job retention.

  • Engage with Indigenous communities and their summer student programs to assist with internship placements and provide career awareness.

  • Participate in community support networks with organizations such as Friendship Centers and regional employment centers.

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with Indigenous communities and Métis settlements within the region.

  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

  • Self-starter with the ability to research and make cold calls to organizations within the region.

  • Skilled in delivering both virtual and in-person presentations.

  • Strong knowledge of Indigenous culture and a commitment to Truth & Reconciliation.

  • Experience building and maintaining relationships with youth, employers, and community organizations.

  • Previous experience working with Indigenous youth, life skills coaching, or career counseling is preferred.

  • Proven experience in planning and contributing to career awareness events and experiential learning opportunities.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Access to a personal cellular phone (compensation for use provided) and reliable internet connection.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word), Microsoft Teams, and databases.
