Job description

🃏 About WPT Global

Since WPT’s inaugural high-stakes televised poker games in 2003, the brand has symbolized poker prominence. Transitioning from its renowned live events, WPT Global currently pioneers an avant-garde online platform.

Our brigade comprises Silicon Valley stalwarts, data virtuosos, gaming connoisseurs, and many more. Our mission? Crafting a poker game that’s as exhilarating to spectate as it is to play, regardless of one's expertise.

📎 The Role

As our Social Media Specialist, you'll engage our global audience through dynamic content, strategic campaigns, and vibrant community interactions across multiple social platforms. Your deep passion for poker will fuel your creativity, ensuring authentic engagement and brand growth. You will collaborate closely with marketing and creative teams to amplify our presence and player experience.

This role involves occasional travel within Canada to attend poker events, conferences, and company meet-ups, providing opportunities to connect with the poker community and WPT Global team members in person.

  • Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrable passion for poker and comprehensive understanding of its dynamics and communities.
  • Proven experience managing social media accounts and executing successful content strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in social media analytics tools.
  • Ability to work independently, creatively, and proactively within a remote team environment.
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute engaging social media content across Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
  • Plan, implement, and optimize social media campaigns to drive follower growth, player engagement, and brand visibility.
  • Foster an active and enthusiastic poker community by promptly responding to comments, messages, and player inquiries.
  • Monitor poker communities and social media trends, identifying opportunities for engagement and brand building.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Marketing, Creative, CRM) to align social strategies with broader campaigns and product launches.
  • Regularly track, analyze, and report on key performance metrics (engagement, reach, conversions, ROI) to inform strategy adjustments.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging social media platforms and best practices.

💸 Perks and Benefits

  • Competitive Salary
  • Quarterly Performance Reviews: Regular check-ins leading to even more bonuses.
  • Uncapped Bonuses: For our top-performing champs, the sky's the limit.
  • Fully Remote Role: Work from where you thrive, with no fixed hours tying you down.
  • Conference & Event Attendance: Get front row seats to industry-leading events.
  • Company Meet-ups: Sometimes digital handshakes turn into real ones.
  • Tech Setup Budget: Kickstart your home office with the right gear on us.
  • Monthly L&D Hours: We invest in your growth and skills upgrade.
  • Empathetic Culture: We believe in doing the best work with care and understanding.
