Compensation: $20 - $40/hourpay

Job Title: Tax Agent

Job Type: Taxation, Compliance & Review

Location: Remote (Preferred: USA, Europe, Canada or India)


As a Tax Agent and play a key role in ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely tax filings. You will leverage your certification, analytical expertise, and passion for precise communication to review, prepare, and validate tax documentation. This role is ideal for detail-oriented professionals committed to upholding the highest standards in tax compliance while collaborating

Key Responsibilities

  1. Review and validate tax forms for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with current regulations.
  2. Prepare, process, and submit various tax filings on behalf of clients and the organization.
  3. Collaborate with juniors, providing guidance and reviewing their work to maintain quality standards.
  4. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local, state, and federal tax codes and regulations.
  5. Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and stakeholders via written and verbal channels.
  6. Analyze and annotate financial data to support accurate tax reporting and filing.
  7. Identify and escalate discrepancies or potential issues to senior tax professionals or management.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  1. Certified tax agent with proven expertise in tax preparation and filing.
  2. Extensive experience reviewing tax forms and documentation.
  3. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on accuracy and clarity.
  4. Exceptional attention to detail and analytical abilities.
  5. Ability to work independently in a remote setting, managing deadlines and priorities.
  6. Solid understanding of current tax laws, codes, and best practices.
  7. Experience with data annotation or financial data management.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Mid to senior level experience handling complex tax filings and reviews.
  2. Previous experience providing oversight or quality assurance for junior staff’s tax work.
  3. Proficiency with digital tax software and remote collaboration tools.
