Remote Tank Cleaning Lead Hand

Prolium Industries specialize in the cleaning of above ground storage tanks for key companies in the Oil & Gas Industry throughout Central Canada. We are currently seeking a skilled Tank Cleaning Lead Hand to join our team.

As Lead Hand, your responsibilities will include adhering to our cleaning procedures, operating and maintaining a range of industrial cleaning equipment, such as pressure washing trailer, breathing air trailer, and heavy machinery. Mentorship of new employees is vital to this position along with ensuring all safety precautions are followed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Effectively communicate with team members, supervisors, and clients to ensure operational efficiency


• Participate in all daily toolboxes and safety meetings


• Collaborate with the team to address and resolve operational challenges and technical issues


• Uphold and promote a culture of safety, ensuring that safety protocols and guidelines are rigorously adhered to by all team members


• Operate various industrial cleaning equipment, including high-pressure washing trailer, breathing air trailer, and heavy machinery to meet project requirements


• Entering confined space to clean tank internals


• Adhere to stringent safety protocols and guidelines

• A strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety regulations


• Strong communication skills; must be fluent in speaking/writing English


• Participate with the team to build and maintain a productive and safe work environment.


• Punctual attendance is a requirement


• Reasonable knowledge of pumps, diesel engines, pressure washers, supplied breathing air and heavy equipment


• Physical fitness and the ability to handle heavy equipment


• Must have a valid driver's license


• Willingness to work in various environments and weather conditions


• Previous experience in industrial cleaning equipment operation is advantageous

Safety Ticket Requirements:

• H2S Alive


• CSTS 2020/WHMIS 2015


• Confined Space Entry and Rescue


• Skid Steer Certification


• Standard First Aid (an asset)


• Fall Protection (an asset)
