Job description
Take Your Career to New Heights with Flair Airlines We’re here to make air travel affordable for everyone, and we’re looking for talented individuals who want to help us continue changing the industry for the better. As Canada’s most reliable airline, we're all about offering real value. As we continue to expand our network, increase flight frequencies, and introduce more services, we’re looking for passionate team members to help us in our mission to make air travel accessible for everyone. We know who we are, and we’re confident in our approach, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously.

Your Team Join Flair’s Technical Services Engineering team as a Reliability Technical Services Engineer, where safety, reliability, and operational performance are essential to supporting a safe and dependable airline operation. Reporting to the Technical Services Manager or designate, you will be responsible for monitoring fleet health, analyzing reliability trends, and supporting corrective actions that improve dispatch reliability and reduce operational disruptions. In this role, you will work closely with teams across Technical Services, Maintenance Programs, Line Maintenance, Quality Assurance, OEMs, vendors, and other cross‑functional stakeholders to investigate reliability risks, review fleet performance data, and provide data‑driven technical recommendations. The position requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision in an office environment. Occasional domestic or international travel may be required to support operational, technical, or training requirements.

This position is based on‑site at our Calgary, AB office.

A Day In The Life As a Reliability Technical Services Engineer, you will support the safe, reliable, and cost‑effective operation of Flair’s fleet by monitoring fleet health, analyzing performance trends, investigating reliability concerns, and supporting corrective actions that improve dispatch reliability and reduce operational disruptions. This role is primarily focused on Reliability, with support to Maintenance Programs and broader Technical Services initiatives as required. You will:

Lead monthly Fleet Performance & Dispatch Reliability meetings, and manage Data Collection, Analysis, Reporting, and Follow‑up functions of the Reliability Program.

Develop, revise, and implement custom maintenance program task cards; evaluate component and system performance using in‑service failure data and maintenance history.

Provide technical support for modifications to the reliability and maintenance programs, considering changes in aircraft utilization, staffing, ground time, and network demands.

Liaise with vendors, Field Service Representatives, OEMs, and other engineering trades to ensure that maintenance and reliability issues are addressed and that any upgrades or improvements are integrated effectively.

Support new aircraft inductions, internal/external audits, and business improvement initiatives, while optimizing scheduled maintenance visits and heavy maintenance programs.

Act as a backup to maintain and continuously improve the scheduled maintenance program, ensuring alignment with company policies, manufacturer guidance, and Transport Canada regulatory requirements.

Participate in maintenance status and planning meetings as a key technical advisor for Reliability.

Actively contribute to Flair’s Safety Management System (SMS) program and perform the Fleet Manager role during their absence.

Perform other duties as assigned, ensuring the overall dependability and safety of Flair’s fleet.
