We offer complete EPCM services including Project Management, Feasibility Studies, Full Service Engineering, Detailed Design, Procurement, Construction Management, Commissioning & Start-up, and Operations Maintenance Support.

The Senior Electrical & Control Designer is responsible for executing and managing all aspects of electrical and control system design for complex Oil & Gas projects. This role requires 10+ years of experience in electrical design and a proven background as a Project Lead on EPCM projects. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with industry-standard design tools.




ACCOUNTABILITIES


May include but are not limited to:


· Lead and execute electrical and control design scope across multiple projects
· Collaborate with engineers and project managers to define and deliver detailed design packages
· Establish and enforce drawing standards and workflows aligned with project requirements
· Produce and review high-quality electrical drawings, schematics, and layout plans using AutoCAD
· Coordinate vendor-supplied drawings and integrate relevant information into project deliverables
· Perform quality checks and back-checks to ensure technical accuracy and compliance
· Support procurement and construction teams by preparing material take-offs and technical documentation
· Adhere to Lauren’s health, safety, quality, and engineering management procedures
· Provide input during design reviews and resolve technical issues during the design phase




QUALIFICATIONS


· Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma from an accredited institution
· 10+ years of electrical and control design experience in the Oil & Gas sector
· Proven experience as a Project Lead or Lead Electrical Designer on EPCM projects
· Proficient in AutoCAD, and Microsoft Excel
· Strong working knowledge of industry codes, standards, and practices (e.g., CSA, IEC, API)




SKILLS


· Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD for electrical and control design
· Familiarity with electrical layout, single-line diagrams, cable tray routing, and panel schedules
· Able to manage drawing packages, revisions, and document control workflows
· Effective at managing priorities across concurrent projects
· Strong communication and coordination skills with multidisciplinary teams
· Detail-oriented with a solid understanding of electrical drafting principles and industry best practices
