Job Description

Assistant Food Service Manager – Pearson College (Victoria) **Because this position is based at a remote site, candidates must have a valid driver’s licence and dependable access to a personal vehicle**

What Moves You

• Creating warm, memorable dining experiences for students and staff
• Being flexible, hands on, and energized by variety in your day
• Building strong relationships and fostering a positive team culture
• Coaching and mentoring staff, and feeling comfortable delegating tasks
• Staying calm and focused even when the kitchen gets busy
• Caring about the details — food quality, safety, service, and cost control
• Being proactive and anticipating what the operation needs next

What You’ll Do

As the Assistant Food Service Manager, you support the daily operations of the dining program at Pearson College. You work closely with the Chef Manager and Food Service Director to ensure smooth service, strong team performance, and a great experience for students, staff, and guests.

This role blends light culinary support, front line leadership, administrative tasks, and operational oversight. You help set the tone for service excellence and step in as the lead when the Chef Manager or Director is away.

We partner with you to enhance the student experience, support parents, and collaborate with administration, all while delivering on the expectations of parents and the community.
