The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will lead the financial strategy, ensuring the company's financial stability, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency while overseeing financial reporting, risk management, capital planning, and process improvements to support business growth and long-term value creation.

Responsibilities:

    • Manage a team of professionals in the finance department (if applicable).
    • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business objectives, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability.
    • Ensure compliance with all CIRO, local provinces and other regulatory financial reporting requirements, capital adequacy standards, and risk management frameworks.
    • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, regulatory filings, and other reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
    • Identify and mitigate financial risks, including market, credit, and operational risks.
    • Ensure the company maintains adequate liquidity and capital to meet regulatory and operational requirements.
    • Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to optimize resource allocation.
    • Collaborate with regulators, auditors, and senior management to provide financial insights and ensure alignment with corporate goals.
    • Implement financial systems and process improvements to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy.

Requirements:

    • Financial accounting designation, finance related university degree or diploma.
    • At least 5 years of experience in the financial services industry.
    • Educational requirements: successfulcompletion of (i) Chief Financial Officers
    • Qualifying Examination, and (ii) Partners, Directors and Senior Officers Course (Qualifying Examination).
    • A strong working knowledge of the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization CIRO) and local provinces financial services regulations and requirements.
    • Strong understanding of capital markets, financial instruments, and investment dealer operations.
    • Be comfortable in a fast-paced environment, where non-routine and/or complex issues are common.
    • Be able to handle complex issues, projects, and processes.
    • Demonstrate strong moral and ethical principles.
    • A willingness to learn, accept accountability, demonstrate initiative and support effective co-operation.
    • Strong sense of integrity and responsibility.
    • Prior Executive Approval from CIRO will be considered as an advantage.
