The successful candidate
will be mainly providing learning support to students in core subject areas in Grades 7 to 12. Additional duties may include assisting with the learning or special needs of students at other grade levels. Menno Simons Community School serves students in grades K-12 population, comprised of English students and ESL Mennonite students. The school is situated west of Fairview near Cleardale, Alberta, approximately 200 km west of Grande Prairie. Qualifications:Educational Assistant Certificate or equivalent are preferred.Experience and/or training working with student in school setting.Ability to work with children with varied ages, skills level, needs and abilities Skills: Willingness to be part of a learning team, take direction and follow programs without direct supervision.Willingness to attend training and professional development opportunities on individual learning and complex learning needs.Ability to be flexible to the changing classroom environment and individual child needsAbility to manage and organize programming and keep records.Good communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively with teachers.Requirements:Provide a current (within six months) Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check .This position will remain open until suitable candidate is secured.
