Job Description

Join a dynamic and fast-paced production environment where you will play a vital role in hand-rolling spring rolls on a conveyor belt, ensuring quality and consistency. This position requires manual dexterity, physical stamina, and the ability to perform repetitive tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Hand roll spring rolls on a conveyor belt in a fast-paced production environment.
• Manually roll spring rolls to meet production standards.
• Rotate between different stations along the production line as required.
• Perform filling tasks, handling materials weighing up to 20 lbs and lifting above shoulder height.
• Sort spring rolls on the line, ensuring quality and consistency.
• Follow and understand workplace safety procedures and guidelines.
• Maintain productivity and efficiency in a high-speed processing environment.

Essential Skills

• Packaging and manufacturing experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination for hand rolling.
• Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs, including lifting above shoulder height.
• Attention to detail to ensure product quality and consistency.
• Understanding of basic workplace safety rules.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous food production experience.
• Packaging experience.

Work Environment

The work environment is a food manufacturing facility with many conveyors and constantly running machines, maintaining a temperature of 8-10 degrees. The culture is very multicultural, and the dress code includes steel toe work boots, lab coats, hair nets, gloves, and beard nets if needed. Jewelry is not permitted. The second shift runs from Monday to Friday, 2:30 PM to 11:45 PM, with orientation at 9 AM on the first day.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, BC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.40 - $19.40/hr.
