Job description
Lower Trent Conservation seeks an Environmental Development Officer to enhance compliance with conservation regulations in Ontario. This position focuses on site inspections, permit administration, and stakeholder engagement.

In this key role, you will work under the Chief Administrative Officer to enforce conservation policies and administer low water response programs. Responsibilities include conducting inspections, reviewing technical documentation, and preparing GIS maps to assist in regulatory decision-making. You will also represent the LPC at various meetings to promote awareness and compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities: • Perform inspections for compliance with development activities • Review and issue permits based on LTC policies • Prepare GIS maps for planning decisions • Consult with landowners to resolve violations • Attend meetings to represent Lower Trent Conservation

Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related area • Three years of relevant experience • Knowledge of Ontario Building Code • Provincial Offences Officer designation or eligibility • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
