The successful candidate
s will be working with a variety of students in grade 9 and 10. This will included 1-1 (complex needs), small groups and some larger class support Peace River High School is located in the town of Peace River, serving approximately 270 students in grades 9-12. Peace River is a town in northwest Alberta. It is along the banks of the Peace River at its confluence with the Smoky River, the Heart River and Pat's Creek. It is approximately 486 kilometres northwest of Edmonton and 198 kilometres northeast of Grande Prairie on Highway 2. For more information on the town and what it has to offer, click .Qualifications: Educational Assistant Certificate or equivalent.Experience and/or training working with student in school setting.Ability to work with children with varied ages, skills level, needs and abilities Skills: Willingness to be part of a learning team, take direction and follow programs without direct supervision.Willingness to attend training and professional development opportunities on individual learning and complex learning needs.Ability to be flexible to the changing classroom environment and individual child needsAbility to manage and organize programming and keep records.Good communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively with teachers.
